Staff Selection Commission (SSC) had conducted Junior Engineers (Civil, Electrical, Quantity Surveying & Control) Paper-I examination on 25th May, 2014. Now the time of conducting it's 2nd phase i.e, Paper-II examination. Candidates who are being prepared for the Paper-II examination should read this article.
As we know, SSC Junior Engineers (JE) examination consists of three phases. Out of three phases, first one is Paper-I examination that contains objective type (Multiple choice) questions asked from three different parts (General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, General Engineering). Second phase is Paper-II examination that contains descriptive type (subjective) questions related to General Engineering which is based on diploma category. And the final (third) phase is Interview which carries 100 marks out of total 600 marks. 500 marks is carried by written examination. First half of the written examination i.e, Paper-I examination carries 200 marks and rest 300 marks is carried by Paper-II examination.
The Paper-II examination carries the maximum marks of the whole examination. That why the Paper-II examination is the most important part of the SSC Junior Engineers (JE) examination.
The results of the Paper-I examination which was held on 25th May, 2014 have been published. The candidates who are secured the minimum cut-off marks will be required to appeared in the Paper-II examination. Dates of the Paper-II examination for different regions may also not be the same. Dates of the Paper-II examination have been decided by commissions of the different regions. I think the the Paper-II examination will be conducted between third and fourth week of the January, 2015. Most probably 18th January (Sunday) will be fixed for Southern region (SR).
However, the examination is not very far. So as a candidate of SSC Junior Engineers (JE) examination (Paper-II) you need to concentrate to your study as soon as possible for prepared properly. A preparation strategy should be for your best preparation as below:
(i) You should solve the previous question papers to gain a little experience regarding the examination.
(ii) During solving any question paper it would be preferred to solve all the easy questions and then solve the questions which are comparatively little tough and time consuming in nature.
(iii) You should focus on the detailed syllabus of the examination given by SSC.
(iv) You should make and develop your own tricks and formula to solve difficult questions and also for earning maximum marks in the examination.
(v) Candidates from different branches should follow their own branch's book according to the syllabus. Since the Paper-II examination are of diploma level, so candidates who have completed their six semester diploma course in the recent year (2012-14) and being appeared in the such examination can easily answer the questions. But they should revise the whole questions according to the syllabus.
(vi) During preparation candidates should manage the time. Because the time management plays an important role in the competitive examination for getting better result.
