The wait for the much awaited exam, JEE Main has been over. Application form of JEE Main is available on its newly launched official website i.e., jeemain.nic.in. Application form for this exam can be filled only through online mode. Below this article, I have given a link that will tell you about how to fill the form of JEE Main Exam. After filling the application form and depositing fee for the concerned exam, a confirmation page will be displayed bearing your application number. Use your application number for further interaction with the examination conducting office.

Mode of JEE Main Exam

JEE Main Exam will be conducted by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education).

In this exam, two Papers will be conducted. Both Papers are for taking admission in different courses. Paper 2 will be conducted for taking admission for courses like B.ARCH/B.PLANNING (Institutions other than IITs). Paper 1 will be conducted for taking admission for all other undergraduate courses. Paper 1 will be conducted in two different modes, online (Computer based) and offline (Pen and Paper based exam). But Paper 2 will be conducted only offline i.e., Pen and Paper based exam. Students are free to sit in either Paper 1 or Paper 2 or in both Papers as per their requirements.

Type of JEE Main Exam

In Paper 1, objective questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of equal weightage will be asked. Paper 2 consists of three different parts. In Part 1, objective questions will be asked from the Mathematics. Part 2 is for aptitude test, which will contain objective questions. Part 3 is for drawing test, in which questions will be asked to test your drawing aptitude.

Schedule of Examination

Offline examination of Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be conducted on 6 April 2014. Online Examination of Paper 1 will be conducted on 9, 11, 12 and 19 April 2014. Exact date for the online mode of exam will be displayed on the official website of JEE Main.

Eligibility for appearing in the JEE Main Exam

  1. Candidates whose date of birth falls on and after 1 October 1988. SC, ST and other physically challenged candidates must have their date of birth on or after 1 October 1983.
  2. Candidates who have passed 12 board exam in the year 2012 or 2013
  3. Candidates who are appearing in the 12 board exam and expect their results by 30 June 2014
  4. Candidates who have passed class 12 board exam in the year 2010 or before are not eligible for this exam

Result of JEE Main

Result of JEE Main will be declared in the first week of May. Result of JEE Main will also show, whether you have qualified for the Advanced test or not. 40 percent of the class 12 marks will be integrated with the 60 percent marks obtained in JEE Main Exam. The final result of JEE Main exam indicating all India rank, State rank and category rank including marks obtained in the individual Papers will be dispatched from first week of July.
